Tellme powers Utah's phone-based traffic service

Travelers in Utah have a new way to get updates on traffic, and they can do it without having to watch television or listen to the radio. Instead, using a cellular phone, they can dial the nations first voice-activated 511 travel service line. The service is powered by Tellme. The service is especially geared for Salt Lake City's hosting of the 2002 Winter Olympics.

W3C releases working draft of Semantic Interpretations

W3C releases the working draft of its Semantic Interpretation for Speech Recognition. The document covers the syntax and semantics of semantic interpretation tags that can be added to speech recognition grammars to compute information to return to an application on the basis of rules and tokens that were matched by the speech recognizer.
