VoiceXML Review Publication Board Announces 2002 Publication Schedule

The Publications Board of VoiceXML Review has announced the publication schedule for the first half of 2002. Readers interested in submitting an article are encouraged to visit the Call for Papers page on this site. Among the topics to be covered in 2002 are v-commerce, call control and multimodal.

The Publications Board has also unveiled a new peer review process to help augment the content of the e-zine. The peer review process will be governed by a newly selected Editorial Panel, the members of which can be seen on the Editorial Staff page.

VoiceXML Forum: The Source for VoiceXML Information

Now in its seventh year, SpeechTeK continues to tailor its conference sessions to meet the needs of the speech technology industry as well as the global marketplace. This year, the SpeechTek organizers have expanded the conference by one day to accommodate interest in VoiceXML, the emerging language for voice-enabling the Internet. The VoiceXML workshops will be led by many of the members of the VoiceXML Forum. The conference runs from 24-26 October.

SpeechTek 2001's conference sessions offer the latest information on how to increase revenues, decrease costs, improve service, increase security, differentiate products and enhance productivity using this emerging technology all in three days packed with solid, unbiased information and demonstrations from global speech leaders. VoiceXML Forum Conformance Committee Announces Plans for Certification Program

The VoiceML Forum is building a conformance testing and branding program for VoiceXML. The goal of this program is to develop quantifiable testing methods and procedures for VoiceXML to ensure interoperability between platforms, tools, and applications from all vendors, and clear identification of compliance to the specification.
