If you have the voice feature installed on the Opera Version 8 browser, you can see, or more appropriately, hear, the difference between three types of applications. You may need to press Scroll Lock on your keyboard and hold it down while speaking. (Scroll Lock is the shortcut key for activating voice.) If you prefer not to use the Scroll Lock key, you can switch to another key. You can also choose whether to keep holding the button/key for as long as you are talking, whether no keypress should be required, or whether to tap the button/key once to make Opera listen. To change these options, pulldown Tools, click Preferences, select the Advanced tab, and then choose Voice.
If you do not have Opera Version 8 installed on your desktop or laptop, you can download and install it from http://www.opera.com/voice/.
